What You’ll Work On

Under direction of the Senior Accountant, you will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the Finance department. The focus of this role is the accurate processing of Accounts Payable invoices daily. You will ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency while processing and monitoring outgoing payments. You will perform the following tasks as part of this role:

  • Create and maintain vendor accounts and monitor for new inquiries.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, payables, and credit card statements.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies.
  • Setup payment runs, email remittances, file AP documents and create excel reports.
  • Prepare for and participate in the year-end financial audit.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A two-year related post-secondary diploma (Accounting focus preferred, but a Business Admin, Finance or related background may be considered). 
  • Minimum of two years of related experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel skills) with an aptitude to learn new systems.
  • A self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Someone motivated to provide a high level of customer service, while handling requests and conflicts.
