CR1000X measuring current from a 24V sensor

anbo Jun 16, 2023 02:19 PM

Hi all,

We recently got some new sensors, Theodor Friedrich 4037 and 4137 WS/WD sensors.

After receiving them, we were notified that they are using the same power supply to drive the signal AND the heating circuit, where the heating circuit requires 24V to reach full heating status.

The sensors output 4-20 mA, but when we have them connected to a 12-24V converter, the reading we get on the RG terminals are offset by some milliamps, giving us negative values at 0 to about 5-7 m/s.

We have tried to connect it a couple different ways, but have not had any success.

This is the setup where we have an offset measurement: https://ibb.co/yRs6v4K

Am I missing an obvious step?

Hope one of you can help.

Best,
Angunnguaq

Try connecting the GND of the 24VDC supply to the GND of the PS150.
