Callendar-Van Dusen coefficients (PRT sensors)

artyb Jul 14, 2023 12:54 PM

Hi,

Does anyone know what coefficients would be used with the normal (non-inverse, ie calculate resistance from temperature) form of the CVD equations for the various different types of PRT sensor that Campbell list coefficients for the inverse form (ie calculate temperature from resistance) of the CVD equations? I'm trying to reverse the calculation, but it would need an iterative process with the inverse form of one of the equations.

BW,
A

For RTD PT100 (Alfa = .385ohm/°C):

Rohm = 100ohm +(0.385 * T°C)

IE at 50°C

  100+ (0.385*50°C) 119,25 OHM

if I understand the question...
