Sdi-12 With Meter Group Instruments and CR1000X

gpswx4cster Jul 15, 2023 01:41 AM

I am trying to add two (2) Meter Group sensors (Atmos 14 and Atmos 22) to my CR1000X logger. Testing the instruments on my laptop with a USB adapter works correctly. But when the instruments  are added to my logger the data output is totally different and no way near the current atmospheric conditions. I have a Vaisala SDI-12 WMT 700 sonic anemometer on C7  with no issues. The Meter Group instruments are on C5 (address 2 and 8) along with an SDI-12 rain gauge (address 0). The rain gauge is working correctly.

Anyone have any ideas as to what to try next? Also, can a serial device share a port with an sdi-12 instrument(s)?

Help!!!

in terminal mode, the logger offers the possibility to communicate directly with the probe. Through the SDI12 option, by blocking the program and keeping the probe powered, it is possible to send the SDI12 commands to the probe, thanks to the logger bypass function. This could be an interesting test. If I understand the question, no if you use a port in SDI12 the couple with that port won't be able to work as serial, almost certainly CRbasic already doesn't compile.
