Interference with a radio modem in the center of a big city

Thomas Durgetto Oct 24, 2023 03:16 PM

Hello,

I have recently started doing test with two CR6 both equipped with a radio module (RF422 868MHz) and came across the following problem :

When I connect the two stations together when I'm at home (about 1 kilometer away from our office), the connection is  instantly successful. However, when I try to connect the stations at our office in the center of Madrid, the connection times out almost instantly.

I read in the documentation that we should try to stay away from 4G antennas, but it is quite difficult given the localisation of the office. What I tried to do so far is to change the network ID and RF hop sequence of the two radios, as well as try other transmission power levels. Nothing worked so far.

Does anyone have any recommendation to mitigate this problem ? What setting could I play with that could help me connect the two stations ?

Thanks

.......There are 4G filters for TV antennas, maybe it's nonsense but maybe it's worth trying
