TX325 operation

Snohomish County SWM Nov 6, 2023 10:24 PM

The user manual for the TX325 states"The datalogger buffers the message until its transmission window (or random transmission time), then transmits the data at either 300 or 1200bps." This statement makes it sound as though the datalogger is responsible for sending the data to the radio for transmission at the correct transmission time. Is that the case or is the message buffered in the TX325, with the TX325 transmitting at the correct prescribed time? If it is the datalogger that is managing the transmission, then does the scan rate play a role in that process and have to correspond with the data transmission period?

With the TX325, the datalogger is managing the message buffering as a background process.

The scan rate does not need to match the transmission interval.
