Is anyone facing this issue as me.
I have a CR800 running fine with a RV50 (firmware 4.16) in PPP mode via CR800's RS232 port, sending out the data by Emailrelay to 2 recepients every hourly and once the counter meets a limit.
But I have issue when setting up a new logger of CR800 with a RV50X (firmware 4.15), all settings and program of the CR800 and RV50X are the same as the working set. The email become intermittent, sometime are delayed and sometime did not receive it.
I try bringing over the working set's RV50 to the new logger and it works fine. So I guess the CR800 and program should be fine. As this is the first time I am using a RV50X together with CR800 and send out data by email.
So I am wondering what is the difference between RV50 and RV50X, can I use the same settings as RV50 for RV50X? or a special interface cable between CR800 and RV50X instead of null modem cable?
Also notice from device configuration, CR800 PPP connection keep disconnecting and RV50X signal LED is soild green, but RV50X network drops after a while (network LED turns red and back to green after few seconds) .
Please advise.

Make sure you are running the latest firmware version in the RV50X. Some older firmware versions had PPP issues.

It works fine after update the firmware of RV50X to version 4.17.
