Qloss data from CH200

sylaswojo Jul 25, 2024 07:50 PM

I am trying to understand some data output from a CH200 charge regulator, and one of the data outputs from this device is a Qloss number. Can someone explain what this value means? It seems like it has to do with battery deficit/battery health according to google. What are the units here? What information can I extract about the system from Qloss?

Much appreciated, Sylas Wojciechowski

Qloss is the amount of capacity drawn out from the battery. When fully charged, the value will be zero. If the peak Qloss value every night is higher than the previous night, battery charging is not keeping up with power consumption.

The CH200 also uses the Qloss value to determine when it is safe to use higher charge voltages.
